Professional Installation

Our Professional Westman Technicians use specialized diagnostic software tools to provide a complete walk-through assessment at the time of installation. By performing a complete home network analysis, they will locate the ideal placement of the modem, check for dead spots (locations where coverage is weak) and ensure maximum coverage in all the areas you use your Wi-Fi.

Device Connection Assistance

Thermostats, Alexa, Google Home, gaming consoles, tablets, laptops, smartphones… Westman understands that each household has many devices connected to the Wi-Fi at once. We’ll connect available devices for you during your installation for a seamless transition and hassle-free experience.


Apartments, Condos, and Town Houses

  • It is recommended that for apartments, condos, and town houses that the 5GHz network be the only network used (If viable). This is due to the 2.4GHz being interfered with too much in heavily populated areas and thus causing an unreliable experience. One router should suffice for 100 percent coverage of your home.

Houses under 1500 sq. feet

  • For houses under 1500 square feet, a single router should be enough to allow full coverage inside your home.

Houses between 1500 and 2500 sq. feet

  • For houses between 1500 square feet and 2500 square feet, one router and one extender should give your home full coverage.

Houses between 2500 and 3500 sq. feet

  • For houses between 2500 square feet and 3500 square feet, a single router and two extenders should give your home full coverage.

Intended use outside of the home

  • Depending on the distance from your router to your place of use, one router and one extender should give you coverage beyond the inside of your home.

Note: The above information is only meant as a guideline, building materials such as tile, brick or lath and plaster may cause variations.  Yard coverage outside of a home also falls outside these guidelines.

 

Households that require more than one extender will receive an additional charge of $2.00 per extender to achieve desired connectivity.
