Easy access to your home network with the new app from Calix. It puts you in charge.

The CommandIQ app is a simple way to manage your home network. The app allows you to view all the connected devices on your network, set up basic parental controls or a guest network, change your password and more.

Control in Palm of Your Hands

Welcome to the future with Westman Enhanced Home Wi-Fi and the CommandIQ app! The Command IQ app allows you to manage your home or business Wi-Fi network from your mobile phone when you have a Westman GigaCentre router. It is simple to use and a convenient app that lets you take charge of your entire network.

Westman members subscribing to our Fibre To The Home (FTTH) Internet and Enhanced Home Wi-Fi services can use the Command IQ app to simplify their network with plenty of helpful tools.

Unique App Features

In previous blogs, we have mentioned that the number of devices on your connection can slow your entire network down, but do you know the actual number of devices you have connected? One of CommandIQ's unique features allows you to see how many devices are connected to your network at any given time. The list of connected devices also enables you to see which devices are connected to 2.4GHz compared to the 5GHz frequency.

Download and Setup the App

The CommandIQ App is available for both iOS and Android smartphones.

  1. Download the app. You can search the Apple App Store or Google Play Store for: 'CommandIQ,' then install it on your mobile device.
  2. Select "SIGN UP" towards the bottom of the screen.
  3. Enter your personal information. The password you enter here will be used to access the app.

Note: Please wait at least 10 minutes after your GigaCentre router has been 'turned up' before attempting step 4.

4. Tap the QR code that appears within the app. (You will be asked to allow the app to access your camera.) Point your camera at the QR Code found on the bottom of your GigaCentre router, or on the sticker that came in your box. Select ‘OK’.

5. Name your network and create a password. The Router Name will be used throughout the app. The Network Name (SSID) is what you will use as your wireless connection name. Select a password for your wireless network. If you do not want to change it on all the devices in your home, use your existing wireless SSID and Password from your current router.
